Here is a collection of my musical endeavours. Some have been published, some are still works in progress.

Music

Living on a catamaran at sea has unique challenges for musical instruments, as they are constantly exposed to high humidity. There is also limited space available on a sailboat, so size was an important consideration (hence the smaller 61-key, instead of a full 88-key keyboard).

After discussions with other sailors, musicians, as well as manufacturers I selected to go with Yamaha instruments. It was not a hard decision, as I have always been impressed with Yamaha equipment, from musical instruments to outboard motors, they offer some of the highest quality available. The selection of a single manufacturer also means I deal with only a single point of contact should service be needed.

Symbolism

My songs and videos are rich with symbolism, much of which is not immediately apparent. Take our music videos, for instance. We made the deliberate choice to use a single static image for each video. This decision may seem counterintuitive since the essence of a video is typically in its moving pictures. However, this static image serves as a poignant metaphor for the state of our lives since our loss.

Album: Sail to Safety (work-in-progress)

Music

Sail To Safety consists of four new songs ๐ŸŽถ. They are post-apocalyptic songs, posing the questions of what happens when the world ends, and how do people survive?

Embark on a journey of hope and survival withย Sailing to Tomorrow: A Post-Apocalyptic Adventure Song! This stirring ballad takes you from the ruins of a fallen world to the boundless promise of the open sea, where love, family, and determination light the way. Let the powerful lyrics and uplifting melody carry you to a place of resilience and renewal-because even in the darkest times, tomorrow is just a sail away.

๐ŸŽถ The second song is ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๏ธ "Sail Away (Zombies Can't Swim)"! Imagine surviving the zombie apocalypse by living on a sailboat-where the sea keeps the undead at bay. Zombies canโ€™t swim, but you can definitely float over to this new track! ๐Ÿšค๐ŸŒ… Check out the video and let me know what you think! And while you're at it, help me decide: Should my next song be about a pandemic that spreads chaos or election violence when the losers try to overthrow the government? Or maybe you have a different disaster in mind? Drop your thoughts in the comments! ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐ŸŽค

The third song, "Ghosts on the Wind" tells the tale from a survivor, alone on the ocean. He lives safe, but alone, desperately searching for contact with other people.

The fourth song, "Adrift in the Aftermath" is in two parts. In the first part, a couple flees in their sailboat moments before a nuclear war starts. Racing to stay ahead of the radiation, they flee to the Southern Hemisphere. In the second part, ten years have passed and they tell the story of how they are rebuilding their life, and have a family now.

Album: Living With Her Ghost (work-in-progress)

Music

While I once thought my first album, Seas of Sorrow, would be my sole musical endeavour, life has a way of steering us toward unexpected paths. Creativity, much like emotion, cannot always be contained.

Presented here for your enjoyment are seven new songs - each a reflection of memory, imagination, and the profound interplay between the past and the future. These pieces explore themes of love and loss, humanity and technology, and the delicate threads that connect us all.
