Charlena has been married for over 30 years and has 4 successful adult children and one grand daughter.
Charlena was at the young age of 16 when she found her passion for clinic environments. She first started in Veterinary clinics before having children. After her third child, Charlena was in a car accident and suffered a whiplash injury. At that time, she was seeking help from a chiropractor. Through this injury, she was introduced to all the benefits chiropractic care can provide. It wasn't long before she had signed her whole family up for chiropractic care. She did heal from the whiplash, but she and her family continued to receive chiropractic adjustments. She used the service as a preventative way of keeping herself and her family well.
In 1997, she and her 3 children appeared on the CTV 6pm news, in the segment about Chiropractic Care and Asthma. Her youngest son had severe asthma and in conjunction with his medical treatment plan, used chiropractic care to help lessen the attacks. When Charlena's youngest child turned 4, she contemplated returning to work. At that time, her mother worked as a Chiropractic Health Assistant for several years and heard about a CHA position that was available. Since she was already familiar with clinic environments and coupled by her belief in the benefits of chiropractic care, she thought it was a good fit for her and applied for the position. That was 18 years ago. She first started out as a CHA, but quickly advanced to Manager.
She finds great joy in educating new and existing patients to the benefits of chiropractic adjustments. She has made this her life long passion. She feels privileged to have met lots of chiropractic patients over the years whom have trusted her at their lowest moments, and believed in her enough to seek the necessary help so they could not only feel better, but stay healthy naturally. Over the years, the love of what she did grew stronger and she continued to strive to educate people. It was easy to do since everyday she saw the benefits to the patients. In the last 18 years, she met lots of chiropractors and other natural practitioners whom she considers life long friends.
If you ask Charlena what her greatest accomplishment is, besides her family, she would say serving the chiropractic community, a passion like no other. She credits her success to her family, whom have been supportive of her passion to help others, and the chiropractor who took a chance on her by hiring her back in 2000. Charlena's goal now is to pass along 18 years of knowledge to Chiropractic Clinics as well as Natural Health Centers by providing exceptional CHA /Assistant services through an modern approach called Virtual Assistants.
