Skywise Astral Services operates four mobile production shipyards converted from former 60,000 ton Azhanti Lightning class military vessels.
After decommissioning, these ships were extensively rebuilt as self-contained travelling manufacturing centres. Their internal production lines, fabrication shops, assembly bays, engineering departments, and testing facilities allow them to construct Fire Class vessels and standardized modules far from the major industrial worlds.
These mobile shipyards can bring Tech Level 13 production capacity directly to developing regions, frontier markets, major colonial projects, and fleet customers who cannot afford to wait for vessels to arrive from distant shipbuilding centres.
Although their exterior profiles still reflect their military origins, their purpose is now entirely constructive.
Where warships once carried weapons, Skywise now carries shipyards.
Spinal Weapon Mount
The original spinal weapons of either a partical accelerator, or meson gun, have been removed. This 360 metre structure is now our assembly bays for transport modules. It has clam-shell doors at each end and when closed, can be pressurized with a breathable atmosphere for crews to work without pressure suits.
This allows us to have between 16 100-ton modules (21 metre length) and 24 30-ton modules (15 metre length). While they are completely flexible, they are typically set up in one of two configurations depending upon current requirements:
- 10 30-ton and 10 100-ton modules, or
- 14 30-ton and 7 100-ton modules
Every 4.5 metres there is a 1 metre wide gangplank circling the construction area. When working on 30-ton modules (6 metre diameter) the gangway can be expanded to 2 metres

- These two decks have been combined to create 22.5 metre deck height. with two sealed assembly regions.
- Each zone is approximately 10,500 m³ (750 tons displacement) and capable of assembling up to 600 tons of ships.
- See deck plan 2, "Fuel Deck". The blue areas are assembly areas, with the "top" edges being retractable doors.
- Vessels exceeding 600 tons are constructed in two pieces, then when not in jump, taken outside for final assembly.

84 Boat Dock -> docks 3, 4, 8, and 9 (3m diameter), as well as dock 21 (4.5 meters) have been converted to 6m diameter docks to accomodate 50-ton cutters and/or 30-ton modules
